Welcome back to a new school year and to the first half term of Year 6!
I hope you had a refreshing summer break and are ready for the busy year ahead, offering exciting opportunities. Throughout this half term, there will be lots going on in school, including the Harvest Festival, so please keep checking this webpage for updates on our class as we love using the internet as a way to communicate and showcase our fantastic work.
Please find a detailed ‘Curriculum Jigsaw’ for your child’s teaching and learning for the next half term.
Just a reminder – homework will be given out on a Friday to be returned by the following Wednesday. This will include a maths task, a grammar task and a set of spellings per week. Additionally, there will be projects given based on topic subjects, please find a range of websites below to help your child research each study. All children have been given a reading journal, reading book and library book to bring home, which they will change as often as necessary. Please encourage your child to read every evening.
