I am excited to write to tell you we have decided to work for a new award for our school called the Well-being award for schools. The award works on key aspects of school Well-being that includes children, parents, staff and people who are involved with our school life. The aim is to ensure we are helping the Well-being of everyone in the very best way we can through our work with the children and their families.
The key aim will be to increase the awareness among parents and families of our work on emotional wellbeing and mental health. Evidence shows that parents themselves can feel unsure and overwhelmed when dealing with the emotional wellbeing and mental health of their children and welcome support. So, achieving the WAS (Well-Being Award status) will require the support of everyone involved with school.
I look forward to sharing our work with you soon and will keep you updated via the newsletter.
