Spring 2

This half term we are going to be geographers and learn all about Europe. We will be exploring a range of maps including paper based and digital in order to locate European countries and famous landmarks within them. We will then be focusing on Spain in particular Barcelona where will be use lots of our geography skills to learn about the land use, population, landmarks and physical geographical features. As well as this we will be comparing Barcelona to Preston!

Spring 1 Harry Potter

Magic has taken over our classroom as we begin our Harry Potter fantasy setting topic. We have investigated how to keep Butterbeer warm, made our own wands and maps. We have also used our computing skills to create exciting pieces of writing.

During our science lessons we have been learning all about electricity including how to make a circuit. Miss Parkinson gave us lots of different equipment and gave us the challenge of making the bulb light up. We then had to work in teams to create circuits.

This half term our topic involves us looking at the digestive system and exploring the functions of teeth in humans and animals.

This week we have been investigating how our skeleton supports us. Ask your children how we used marshmallows and sticks to do this!

This half term, our topic is The Great Plague!

We will be looking at life in London at this time and comparing this to life now. 


In science, we will be looking at our skeletons and animal skeletons.
